Nia is a holistic fitness practice addressing everyone’s ability to discover, explore, unleash, and enhance our individual potential to live a healthy and meaningful life by engaging our senses and listening to our bodies.
Nia’s cardio-dance workout combines 52 simple moves with uplifting and inspiring music. Through a fusion of the dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced.
Each class incorporates 7 cycles – Setting the focus, stepping in to the practice, warming up, get moving, cooling down, floorplay and stepping out.
Participants wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
Nia is ideal for all ages and fitness levels. It's all about the Joy of Movement!
Nia was created in 1983 by Debbie Rosas & Carlos Rosas. Debbie continues to dedicate her life to self-healing and self-mastery through Nia as a business leader, fitness innovator, teacher, author, choreographer and artist.
Nia offers education through a belt system with each training adding a new focus to develop your holistic knowledge of the body, enhance your fitness practice and expand your movement creativity.
