Movement and dance have always been a satisfying part of my life. Teaching Nia has been the perfect context for me to deepen awareness of myself and to share my gifts with people of all ages over the past 16 years. Nia trainings bring the richness of Nia’s body of work into a beautiful container for exploring our sacred potential as wholesome, artistic athletes, living in our bodies and our lives authentically and well.

White Belt Training

The White Belt is the foundation for learning and teaching Nia. Everything begins with Principle #1 – the Joy of Movement. The principles of this belt focus on the physical realm of the body and learning how to sustain and increase sensation in the body for pleasure and self-healing.

Special Events

There is something extra special to doing Nia to music! Gary Diggins and Martha have been collaborating for 30 years so when his trio Triund shows up at class the interplay of bodies and music, art and sweat, sound and silence, breath and heartbeat is a real celebration.
